I recently played a show with my friend Heather Maloney. The setting for the show was a beautiful room in Greenfield, MA. The show started at 8pm yet people were beginning to stream in shortly after we arrived at 6. It seemed people were taking any chance they could get to spend time with their hometown hero, Heather. That may sound corny (hometown hero hero thing, you know?) but it is not an understatement. From the moment I started strumming my first song last Saturday to the some 75 completely attentive audience members I could see that these people are special and they are a part of a culture that truly appreciates music and Heather has helped nurture this in Western Mass. I could not have asked for a better introduction to the valley and I could not say enough about why you should listen to Heather Maloney's music. On that note, I'll leave it to her and her music.
You can listen to more of Heather's music and find out where she is playing next RIGHT HERE!
I am really stoked about my return trip to Michigan coming up in November. I am slated to be in 35 classrooms, Kindergarten to 4th grade, in grand Rapids. I'll be playing eveing shows in lansing, Kalamazoo, and Traverse City. In TC I'll open for this wonder of a band called The Crane Wives. I just took in the video below. I love it. I love them. I love their sound.
